Dr. Sam Shamardi has devoted his career to being a dedicated clinician, educator, speaker, author, and entrepreneur within the dental profession.  He earned his DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and trained for his periodontal specialty certificate at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery and practices full-time while teaching part-time at  Harvard University Dental School, Division of Periodontics, in Boston Massachusetts.

Clinically, Dr. Shamardi has treated patients in various specialty and multispecialty environments with an emphasis on periodontal care and its systemic health link.  He strongly believes in a comprehensive team approach to patient care and to the important role each member of a practice provides.  He has been recognized as a Top Dentist and continues serving as a faculty member and educator at Harvard for over a dozen years, where he enjoys working with the post-graduate residents in the clinic.

As a speaker, Dr. Shamardi lectures nationally and internationally on topics within periodontics, hearing loss in dentistry, dental finance, leadership, laser therapy and more.  He is a member of the prestigious Catapult Education Speakers Bureau and has published multiple articles on a wide range of topics.  He serves as a key opinion leader with over a dozen companies in the dental and medical space while also contributing on multiple advisory boards.

Dr. Shamardi is passionate about solving significant unaddressed issues within the dental field.  One of his first entrepreneurial projects was tackling the issue of noise-induced hearing loss within the dental profession, where he was recognized for bringing active hearing protection technology into the field in hopes of preventing permanent hearing loss and systemic health issues for his peers.  He has also been determined to educate recent graduates and early career dentists on establishing a financial foundation for their careers, authoring The Financial Survival Guide for Dentists and continuing to speak with universities and corporations to better prepare clinicians for their professional careers.
